We are pleased to announce that we have just updated the species-by-habitat trends presented on our Indicator species trends page. Each trend now includes data collected by NPMS volunteers in 2023 (the analysis of 2024 data is just beginning now).
These trends underpin the “C7 Plants of the wider countryside” UK biodiversity indicator, published by Defra and JNCC each year.
The NPMS team is also working towards the publication of the modelled numbers underlying the species-by-habitat trends this year, and these will be published on the Environmental Information Data Centre alongside NPMS field data.
